My nephew had a problem. The home button of his iphone stopped working. He was in his messages app and could not navigate away.
HE could only call or sms his friends that were in his messages history
I found out that you could can turn on a software home button… Nice workaround…
It’s called assisitive touch and you find it on :
Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch
Only problem he had… he was in messages and without a home button you can not switch to the settings menu…
Luckily there was an easy way to solve this too..
Turn the iphone completely off. Turn it back on and it boots by default back to the home screen.
